INFILUS // RAIN, GERMANY

Measured.
Not declared.

We are an engineering-first FDM filament manufacturer. We do not white-label. Every spool is extruded in our own facility using industry-leading compounding and metrology equipment. Built to spec, spool after spool.

The Infilus Extrusion Architecture

Process discipline dictates polymer performance. This is our hardware stack.

Gravimetric Dosing and Drying
STAGE 01 // PREPARATION

Desiccant Drying & Gravimetric Dosing

Moisture and inconsistent blending destroy polymer chains. We utilize Italian Piovan automatic gravimetric blenders for 0.1 – 0.2% dosing accuracy. Prior to extrusion, all materials pass through Conair dehumidifying dryers with continuous dew point monitoring to ensure absolute moisture elimination.

Extrusion and Melt Pump
STAGE 02 // MELT CONTROL

Dedicated Extrusion & MAAG Melt Pump

We use a dedicated single-screw extruder (30 L/D ratio) designed for uniform polymer melting due to optimised polymer residence time. To completely eliminate pressure fluctuations, the melt is driven through a MAAG gear pump—widely recognized as the absolute pinnacle of melt control technology worldwide. Coupled with closed-loop microprocessor management, this setup guarantees zero pulsation and uncompromising stability in the extrusion process.

Vacuum Calibration
STAGE 03 // CALIBRATION

Vacuum Calibration & Cooling

The extrudate passes through specialized vacuum calibration baths. Microprocessor control over vacuum levels and cooling water temperature ensures identical thermodynamic cooling history for every batch, resulting in zero internal stress and perfect roundness.

Zumbach ODAC Laser
STAGE 04 // INSPECTION

3-Axis Laser Metrology

Dimensional accuracy is non-negotiable. A Swiss Zumbach ODAC 13TRIO laser continuously measures diameter and ovality across three axes in real-time. This closed-loop system instantly adjusts the servo-driven puller to maintain a strict ±0.02 mm tolerance. Data is archived for every single spool.

Conair Auto Coiler
STAGE 05 // SPOOLING

Tension-Free Automated Coiling

A Conair automatic coiler handles the final winding process. Servo-driven microprocessors lay each filament layer perfectly next to the other. This tension-free, layer-by-layer spooling completely eliminates overlaps, tangles, and feeding issues during printing.

Batch Traceability

We record diameter, ovality, and environmental data for every production run. A batch report is available for every spool, ensuring complete supply chain transparency.

Virgin Sourcing

We do not use cheap fillers or recycled waste in our core engineering lines. Pure, virgin polymers from vetted global suppliers guarantee mechanical reproducibility and REACH & RoHS compliance.
